Tax Associate – Remote

Responsibility

• Perform Quality control of electronic workflows to ensure proper routing resulting in accurate and timely transmission of federal tax returns.
• Assemble Form 8453 attachments and validate information prior to mailing documents to the IRS.
• Compose status reports of accepted returns be the IRS/state departments and inform appropriate parties.
• Follow up with the IRS and state departments on the status of e-filed returns through Proseries tax software suite.
• Prepare and distribute daily progress reports outlining and prioritizing open workflows in accordance with deadlines.
• Operate quality control to ensure tax refunds are properly e-filed or paper filed based on filling instructions.
• Obtain signature authorization forms to facilitate e-filing of tax returns/extensions.

Skills & Experiences

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possesses a college degree or is currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited institution.
• Possesses a working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe.
• Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, reading skills, enthusiasm and attention to detail.
